The first wedding dinner of the year..
.. after which there's one more next week (thankfully I'll be in Japan) and one more in December.
3 cousins getting married during the same period of the same year.
That's a lot of pressure for the other single cousins.
I used to be able to get away from all those "so you got boyfriend already or not?" nosy questions by protesting that oh I'm still so young (I'm the 3rd youngest cousin. Got another cousin Z a yr younger than me, followed by my brother), and so no, I gotta study/establish my career/blah blah blah first.
Then the little bugger of a cousin Z has to bring her boyfriend along for the wedding dinner! And they were like, holding hands most of the time!
Like that how to eat huh?
So since I'm now the only cousin who hasn't brought a boyfriend home (uncles and aunties have given up on 2 other older cousins in their 30's), guess who's getting all the questions now?
Maybe i should rent some good-looking model type guy from an escort service for the next wedding dinner.
Desperate situations call for desperate measures. One auntie even said that I probably scared all men away coz I have too many ear piercings. Another commented, "aiyah, girls who are grad very hard to get boyfriend one lah! They too nui qiang ren (*female strong person) liao, boys dun like."

I had made up my mind then, and I am very content with the path I have chosen... I'm happy.
Beats the married cousins whom I know are having trouble with their marriages.
