I got an article published in a foreign trade mag… the editor gave me an entire page in the first few pages of the magazine and also gave me a byline!

(Nb: Byline is the ‘Written by:YYY’ thingy)

It’s like a sign, you know, that I’m getting there. Of course, I’ve done many articles for my publication which has readers all over the world… but this one is special, coz it’s not OUR publication, it’s foreign (local trade mags are shit) and it has worldwide distribution.

OMIGOSH… I’ve really got to savour this… I’m getting that… at such a young age too!

I’m glad he gave me the opportunity, and sent my article to that mag… :X

And it wasn’t even heavily edited!

This’ll show my parents… see, I’ve done it! I made the right career choice! If I had listened to you, I’ll still be stuck in some shit admin role in SPH or some other local newspaper/magazine, where I’ll be busy doing nothing but making coffee for my superiors.

So trade magazines dun get displayed at newsstands… it’s not all that visible, but so what? It’s the substance that counts.

I’m gonna sleep with that mag under my pillow tonight.
