ok... so i started reading harry potter at about 11am, and by the time i finished, it was 4am sunday morning.
of course there were the breaks in between, the meals, showers etc.... but all in all, about 14 hours were all i needed to complete the final book in the harry potter series.
and i feel kinda empty now coz well.. the series has ended for me... no more books to look forward to.
the book was shockingly violent... it wasn't just 2 people getting killed off in the book, but a whole range of characters. i was totally thrown off when at page 70-something, Moody was killed. i was like "WTF?!?!?!?!?!"
my little scream caused heads to turn in my direction when i read that.
but all in all, good book. some might say, the ending was too 'happily ever after' and i admit i found it a little too bubble-gum sweet when i read how things had progressed nineteen years later... but hey, it IS a children's book after all. and rowling balanced off the miserable bits quite well with the cheery ones.
i'm gonna give it a month, then i'll read it again :D
meanwhile... bye harry!
